Here is the method:
1. Click this link and download and install NHM Writer.
2. After the completion of installation, you can notice a bell icon in your system tray (extreme low-right corner)
3. Left click it and select the 3rd option - Tamil phonetic unicode
4. Now you are all set to write in tamil.
Use romanized spelling system to type tamil.
E.g. 1:
vaNakkam = வணக்கம்
vanthanam = வந்தனம்
vaNakkam = வணக்கம்
vanthanam = வந்தனம்
thangkaL varavu walvaravu aakuka = தங்கள் வரவு நல்வரவு ஆகுக (pls note "w" is used for the tamil word "ந்”)
E.g. 2:
You can also use capital letters instead of double small letters to type நெடில். E.g: பா = paa, pA, தா = thA
Special letters:
ழ் = z
ழ = za
ஔ = au
ஸ்ரீ = sri
ஷ = sha
ஸ = Sa
Keyboard shortcuts: Tamil = Alt+2, English = Alt+0
So easy, Try it! Plz reply if there is any doubt or anything that I left out or whatsoever.
